ADULT CONFIRMATION PREPARATION
Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.
Who is Adult Confirmation for?
The Adult Confirmation program is for those who were baptized Catholic as a child and received their First Holy Communion and now desire to complete their initiation in the Catholic Church and receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Study of Catholic doctrine, the sacraments, morality, and prayer are among many of the topics discussed in this process. In addition, this process focuses on the nature of the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist, as well as on conversion, the Gospel, professing the faith, and personal prayer.
